Save A Life

Because this is a cause that is soooooo near and dear to my heart, I had to post this.  Today is Remember me Thursday.  For all those pets who are still waiting for the loving arms of their forever parents.  I had no idea that the percentage of pets adopted from shelters were so few.  It's heartbreaking.  So, this post is for them, to bring awareness to people for those who cannot speak for themselves.  If you are looking for an unconditional love in the form of a pet, I urge you, go to a shelter and find one.  I promise you won't regret it.

What a great reminder! Close to my thoughts too.
Please jump over to my blog and meet Rose. She's a senior dog at 12 with three legs that I foster. I feel she needs a loving , peaceful home. Her own bed, treats and comfort in her last few years. I encourage people to consider shelters first. The gratitude is in their eyes...

Hear, hear! Millions and millions and millions of cats and dogs are put to death every year in kill shelters in America. I did a search for senior dogs that were within my immediate area this summer and there were over 5000 old dogs that were in shelters within 300 miles because people give them "up" when their age becomes a problem or because their owner died. People must get every animal spayed or neutered. There is no reason for anyone to have an animal have puppies or kittens when so many are thrown away like old newspapers. Thank you for bring up a topic that should touch us all deeply.
