Client Bath

So, here is that bathroom of that home that I just finished and gave you a little glimpse into last week.  I am utterly and entirely in love with the swan shelf.  My client wasn't quite sold on it initially, and then changed her mind and went back for it.  It almost wasn't there...because, it almost came home with me.  But, as you can see that didn't happen, and it has found it's perfect spot in her bathroom.

The other thing I would like to point out is the killer shower curtain.  It's a silk taffeta with a sewn on bead overlay.  Now lest you think this brilliant idea was mine, I have to stop you right there.  It wasn't.  I got the initial idea from one of my favorite designers Kishani Perera.   However, when we received the beads they were attached to this god-awful large plastic bar.  Not pretty.  At all.  There wasn't a good way to hide the bar, so we just had a seamstress sew the beads on.  Muuuuuuucho better!  But, let me tell you...that is one heavy shower curtain.  Hence the heavy duty rod attached to the ceiling.  It all turned out lovely though.

Don't you think?

Love the shower curtain as usually shower curtains are flimsy and stick to wet legs, but with the beading, I am sure the curtain is much heavier and therefore less cloying on the wet bits! I love the swan shelf as well, I think it's a piece that grows on you the more you look at it!

love the molding around the shelf but outside of the black wall I really like the little gold accents, even on the handle.
