So, I am in the midst of a client's laundry room.
She is my adventurous girl (wait til you see what we are doing in the bedroom!) The room is small, but sometimes her guests enter the house through the garage (which is attached to the laundry room) and she wanted the first impression to be dramatic. Not just another ho-hum laundry room. This paper was the first one I suggested. It ain't the cheapest, and yet we still wanted the impact that it brought without using it on all four walls. It IS a laundry room after all (you are going to have to drink every time I say "laundry room,") so there was no need to break the pocket book. Hence, it will be making it's appearance on the ceiling. Which I'm kinda excited about. It will be fun and unexpected!
So, the only thing left to do (as you can see the lighting fixture has also been chosen) is choose a wall color. It needs to be able to stand up to the wallpaper, and yet still compliment it, not compete with it. These are the three options I see in my head. I would totally go with a royal blue if the room next to it (the den) weren't already a dark blue. Sooooo, bring on the pinks/corals/reds.
This hot pink/fuchsia is really a lovely color, although it packs a punch.
Maybe a little too strong.
This rich coral is lovely.
Plus, it plays nicely with the coral punches in the den.
I really enjoy this red.
Like the coral is would play nicely with the den.
I know which one has been chosen.
You'll just have to wait and see. But, in the meantime...
which would you choose?
