Versaille or Loft?

Today, I'd like to chat about Berkley Vallone's home.   I have to admit, it is having a bit of an identity crises.  It's not sure whether it wants to be a part of Versailles or a modern NY Loft.  This is forgivable however, since it's done with such panache.  But then, how could I expect anything less from someone named Berkely.  Right?

What a great entry.  Look at all the unique little details on the table.  Personalization makes a home special.

Check out the next two pictures.  Versailles or Loft?  You decide.

Look at that gold penny tile on the floor.  Oh, and have you ever seen gold trim?  Now you have!  You gotta admit.  It is kind of luscious.

This bedroom is my favorite room in the whole house.  It seems to know what it is, and works with both the French feel and the loft feel.  This is mixing at it's best.

I am rendered speechless.  That is a cheetah upholstered piece of sexy.  Me-yow!  If I ever found myself in this home (fat chance!)  Miss Berkley better keep an eye on this chair.  I might give it the old five-fingered special if she's not careful!

Oh so feminine!  Just can't go wrong with marble!

Did you enjoy?

I love all the personality packed into this house.  Prime example of how to make a space reflect it's owner and become a home.

Opinions?  Favorite rooms anyone?

I do like the place but it does feel a bit disjointed to me. The bedroom and that last bath are just lovely. The laundry room would be a dream as well. The home does have a lot of personality though which I think is the most important thing!

I love this "style" of decorating. Putting together what I think are random things & it ends up looking so great. I'm sure it takes a lot of work to make it look so natural.
It remind sme of how you decorate, Nichole.
