Pop In

Sorry I'm late today.  Just a quick little pop in to let you know some of the exciting things happening.  First off, look what came home to stay with me (albeit temporarily) a couple of days ago.

Yup, a rare, bronze, Knoll Platner, 42" coffee table with a marble.  She's a thing of beauty kids.  As I said before she's not staying though.  She is going to be sold to help finance all kinds of necessary things around here.  I kind of hit the jackpot with her.  She's hard to let go but, since I already found the deal of the century with my Rams Head table, and only have one main living space, I'm going to have to make a sacrifice and share her with someone else.  Damn.

Here's one just like it (minus the marble.)  Any takers?

And, since I mentioned the things to be financed...here is one of them.  I think I may have found our dining table.  The one.  Take a gander...

I think I love it. It's made by an artisan here in KC, so I may have him make me one just like it only a smidge darker and possibly a little more glossy.  We'll see.  But, I looooove the shape.  Modern and rustic holding hands, and making nice.  You like?  Me too!

Ladies, ladies. Calm yourselves. Although, I was pretty excited when I found it so, you know, I feel you. It will be finding a new owner as soon as I find someone who wants to paaaay for it. Yikes. Thanks for sharing in my excitement though!

What a beautiful piece of craftsmanship! It's not my style, but it is gorgeous. It looks solid and inviting. :)

Also, you may have mentioned it but I missed it - did you decide which dining room rug you were going to go with? :)
