Dining Bits

I'm going to start today off with a little bit of excited show and tell involving a killer dining table that needs a little love, but could be an amazing find.  She is currently sitting in my garage waiting to be appraised.  There is an insane amount of inlay, hand painting, and solid brass involved, and I love it.  Unfortunately, it's also huuuuuuge (93" without the leaves,) and will not fit in my own dining room.  So, it will have to be sold eventually.  But, still, she's such a work of art.  I can totally see her in a sleek super modern space.  Tell me that wouldn't be cool.

Isn't it amazing?  Don't be fooled by the dust, and disrepair.  This baby will shine again.

So, now that I've gotten what I've been up to out of the way, now we can move onto the theme of the day....some great dining tables/rooms.

This one makes me delirious.  That brass/gilt/golden table is absolutely beyond anything I've seen.  Mixed with those fur covered chairs...perfection.  Now people take note, they are mixing metals here.  Gold and silver...it really is okay.  Mix it up!

Again, killer table...especially the base.  I adore that chandelier too!  Check out the gold tree in the corner.  I need that console.

The mixing of chair styles/eras really makes this special.  And, the fact it's paired with the rustic table.  Eclectic done well.

This space is so unique.  At first, I wasn't sure I liked it.  But, then I started to dissect it, and as I did, I came to appreciate the use of materials and styles here.  We have traditional chairs, a super sleek/modern grey table, and an ornate brass pendant as the main players.  Schizo to be sure.  But, it all works in the end.  Don't you think?

So, there you have it.  Hope everyone is going strong out there.  Keep truckin'!

That last dining room is one of my all time faves. It just draws me in!

Oh and that table of yours is a stunner! No way it would fit anywhere in my apartment though... Lucky future owners!
