I am in love with this home. Really just blown away. It is a beautiful melding of new and old. Slick and decrepit. Everywhere you look there is something interesting to see. The owners named Michael and Jonathan (also happen to own The Shoot Factory) have done a spectacular job renovating the old girl, and are now in the process of decorating. You can keep up with the progress over on 47 Park Avenue as written through Michael's eyes. Really great stuff.
Quite the statement, huh? Love the black floors/staircase.
Great usage of space. Tucking a desk into this upstairs nook.
Dear Lord that chandelier is killer.
Awwww, look at that face....and those chairs.
Even the stinking dressing rooms are spectacular.
Right off the bat these last few rooms reminded me of Abigail Ahern and her classically dark way of designing. As I dug back into their blog she kept coming up often. Apparently she was a large influence in the look of their home. However, you can obviously see their own voices in there as well.
I can't wait to follow along as it evolves. Especially since it's already so lovely. Well done boys. Keep up the good work!
It reminds me very much of this quote I happened across from Amanda...
Huh, ain't that the truth. Marvelous indeed! Good to remember when the courage needs a little bolstering. Enjoy your Tuesday all!
