Paint Picks

So I am narrowing down paint choices for the living room and master bedroom.  Here are the options ...

I ended up liking Benjamin Moore's Platinum Gray.   It's a perfect neutral gray.  Not too blue (like the sample below it.)  Perfect!  Here is one of my inspiration pics I initially went off of for the color...

Love the feel the color creates in this room.

And then, here's a sample I chose for the Master bedroom Dont' you just loooove the cable wire tacked to the door frame?  That was inherited from the previous home owners and will be leaving!

...this color was originally inspired by the picture shown below.

I really love the entire feel, however, I'm just not sure blue it right for us.  I asked the hubby about it (who looooves blue, by the way,)  and he agreed.  Not sure we will end up with this color.   We'll see.

So that's where we are regarding paint right now.  I am ready to move forward with the living room!  Thank goodness.  I am soooo tired of looking at that pukey color. I'll let you know when it's done!

I find deep blue to be tricky b/c it always seems to look like a crayon when it's finished or on the wall....

love the grey. We ended up doing our guest room in a dark, dark blue that has maybe a little more black and or a little more purple in it than the one you show here--it takes away any "crayola" effect. It is so soothing in there, I kind of wish it was our room! http://www.heatherpetersondesign.com/2011/04/guest-room-after.html

Good luck!

the midnight blue is gorgeous! You will love it once it's on your walls. My dining room is dark blue like this color and everyone compliments me on it when they come into my home. I would send a photo but I don't know how to do this on a computer. My accents in the room are silver, gold and white with some black. Trust me, with your eye for style and glamour it will turn out amazing!!

Well, when you first posted the picture of the blue cafe, I begged you to do something that was inspired by it and it looks like your thinking about it. I understand what you mean by not being sure if blue is right for you but I think this color needs to be in a room that has serious windows/natural light. Go for it! I'm dying to see how it looks.
