DIY Snowburst

In perfect timing for the season...I give you, a sculptural snowburst for your very own.  Found over on the fab Full House, I thought it was such a chic alternative to a lot of the cheesier options out there in the land of Christmas decor. Right?

Apparently, all you need is...

Easy peasy!  The prism sticks are semi-hard to come by from what I understand, but here is a source for you that was found online.  Gotta love the internet!  These prism sticks are kinda cool.  Might be good for other DIY activities, now that I know they exist.  Hmmm.  Things to ponder.

Love this! Looks gorgeous and would go perfectly next to my "ice tree."

Yes, there are TONS of ridiculous options for Christmas decor. Ugh. I used to work retail and one time had to unwrap all the ornaments as they came into the store. One year we had a gazillion blown glass pig ornaments. Who wants to hang a pig on their tree?!!

Actually I think it's cute enough to stick around all of the year. Neat idea...

What a great idea! I'd pop this up after Christmas too as a cute little decorative item.

I found this tutorial a little while ago... same thing by a blogger over on Curbly. She spray painted hers gold which I LOVE! Also, she got her picks at the 99cent store...they're Diamond brand. We don't have the 99cent store in my area (Pittsburgh) but I'm keeping an eye out for something similar.
