Rams Head Acquisition!
So if you read my ecstatic post on Saturday. You would know I made the best find ever! I promised to update you when it found it's way into my home permanently. Which it has now done. Sooooo....here are some pics I took of my half done mess of a living room. I have to say though, I'm excited about where it is heading. Here's a close up of the tray on top (it needs a good cleaning.) Now, several of you mentioned thinking it needed a glass top for the table, instead of the tray. But, I'm digging the tray...big time. It's stunning in person an really makes the table that much better. If that's even possible!
Also, I got another crazy good deal this weekend. You guys are going to start hating me aren't you? This floor lamp is solid brass (super heavy,) and after a good cleaning and polishing, it will be really spectacular! Oh yeah, and did I mention I got it for $15? Please don't hate me.
So that was my weekend. I have to say it was a pretty good one. I still haven't started painting yet. It's just so overwhelming. I need to get up the gumption to just suck it up and start. Hope you all have a lovely Monday. Talk at you tomorrow.

I promise I don't hate you but you are one lucky girl!
That's a floor lamp? Kinda short for a floor lamp isn't it?
Don't change a thing about that table...no glass top! Gahhh the lamp! I do hate you...but love you to :)
I love the table as is!!! Find something glass or acrylic to go somewhere else in the room to add another texture, but I suggest you leave this awesome table alone! Can't believe you found the lamp for only $15. Score!!!
When I moved back to Minneapolis, my NYC and San Fran friends were soooooo jealous of the vintage finds to be had in the midwest.
LOVE the coffee table. And I'm regretting letting go of a similar tray in one move or another.
Shazaam girl! Talk about a find!
No I hate you :) Can I send you a list and you can be on the look out for great deals for me? PLEASE :)
Your table?!?! I gasped. For real. You are one lucky duck. It's beautiful.

Amazing finds! You've got the ingredients for a super glammed out space there! Can't wait to see the end result!
That room is coming along swimmingly. Looks fabulous! Keep the tray, it rocks.
The table is fantastic with the lounge. It doesn't need a glass top. It would lose some of its character.
the floor lamp is spectacular. I can't believe it was only $15!
The ram inspired table is very exotic. Brilliant design idea. Beautiful!
what a find..looks great in your space.
You are a very lucky girl for these great finds!! But I do think a glass top would look nice. I might help the make the space look a little lighter. And you could use that great tray in another room to help pull everything together...just my two cents. Get to painting cause I cant wait to see the finished results. Good luck!
Love the rug! I've been looking for a white cowhide rug. Any suggestions on where to find one? Thanks!
WOWOWOW! lucky you. I noticed its not the same one that is pictured in your first picture...am i blind ? whats up with that? I love it though.

It actually is the same as the first, but the funny thing is, they didn't know how to set it up. So, the heads were upside down in their pic. I turned them how they should be and that;s what you see as different. ( =
That sofa and coffee table are fabulous!
