The One

Here it is kids. We are officially under contract, and set for closing on October 14th. That is if the inspection later this week goes well.   Fingers crossed.  I loved it the second I saw it.  It's not perfect, but, it's close.  I snapped some of these shots with my handy dandy iphone, and the others came from the listing itself, so please look past the resolution, or lack thereof.

The neighborhood is really lovely....

Here's a shot of the living room, looking into what I think will become an office area.  Everything is still up in the air as far as what will go where.  I do know that initially there will be very little furniture to fill the spaces due to the small apartment we are coming from and the lack of space it allowed for furniture.

Another living room shot....

Here is a closer look at what will probably be an office area.

A view from the Dining Room...

Another Dining Room view...

 Small but sweet little backyard...

That's all you get right now. Hopefully everything will go well this week during the inspection and it will be a done deal.  I'll show you more as I get more and better pics.  There is a lot to tweak and a kitchen to completely gut eventually.  But, I'm really excited as it feels so good when I'm in it.  I'll let you know what happens.  Hope your Monday is going nicely.  Just wanted to check in and let you know what I've been up to.

You have great bones to work with. That fireplace, mantle and the molding around the doors on the sides is really beautiful. Congrats.

I was looking for a new blog when I saw Kansas City. That's me! This is really a wonderful place to live but I do not think anyone knows about it. Then I followed pictures to your house and I think I live a few blocks from you. This is a great neighborhood.
