Paul Newman in Madrid
This Madrid apartment really does it for me. It's modern, fresh, and light, yet, still has a sense of history in it's furnishings. I love it when that happens. I found this apartment tour on Design Elements and really felt that "wow" factor from the start. But, when Mr. Paul entered the scene (below.) That was it. This apartment had me ... hard core! Done!
Ummmm, hello Mr. Newman. I think you are the bees knees, the cat's meow, a real dreamboat. Oh yeah, and you're kinda hot. Now, I don't say much on the aesthetics of men very often (I am married.) However, with this one in particular ... well, I'm sorry hubster ...wowzy, wow, wow, wow. I mean, "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof?" Uhhhhhggg, give it to me baby! I'll take somma that with whipped cream, a cherry and nothin else but ... what? Too much?
Hehe, sorry, I'm done. Now I can continue on with the rest of the apartment without any more inappropriate Paul (hotcakes) Newman comments. I do have to say that the usage of Paul behind the sliding door really is a fantastic idea. It has, kind of a peek-a-boo effect that adds some playfulness to the design. Plus, who wouldn't want to be surprised by that gorgeous, hunkuva face. Okay, I really am done now...moving on.
I seriously think they used every inch of this place, and still managed to make it feel uncluttered and well ... perfect. I would move in immediately given the opportunity. And not JUST because of Paul. Although, that doesn't hurt the cause either. At all. Sigh. Good stuff, kids. Am I right?
