Not Just Art
I was browsing Etsy and came across the picture above, which first, struck me as a beautifully designed interior, and then after I paused for a moment, I recognized it as art. It's from Janet Hill Studio whose work has a nostalgic feel, with a bit of modern color sprinkled in. There is something about her work though. Instead of simply seeing a pretty picture to hang on the wall. I see inspiration for my home.
I mean, if these were actual interiors (which they may have been,) I could see any one of them in the pages of a glossy magazine. The colors are gorgeous. The furnishings are decidedly classic, and yet they feel fresh and young. Plus, there are sweet little felines (and puppies) featured in several scenes ... and that is always a welcome sight.
I was just so inspired by her work, and not just for what it can add to my wall (which would be lovely as well,) but, more for the design itself. What do you guys think? Can you see it?
