So, Here It IS...

So here is the actual new place.  Yea, it's a far cry from the other "new" place I showed you a couple of weeks ago.  Still, it really is a great place.  It's huge for an apartment (1400sqft,) and it's quirky (in a good way.)  I'm still a little heartbroken over the other one.  But, I definitely think that this one will be a better fit for us.

It is in an old row house in Hoboken, which used to be a Barber shop.  The pictures are really terrible.  It's got a great deal of space, and a crazy amount of closet space (IMPORTANT for city-living.)

The kitchen is quaint and charming.  I have plans for it.
Above is the second bedroom (which you can reach by climbing the spiral staircase shown in the first picture.  It has a separate full bath.  I think it could be a really great space once, it is de-Barneyed/cleaned out.

Above is the Master.  It is much larger than it looks.  I'm still formulating what will be happening in here.  I just keep looking at the pics and can't get over how awful they are. Really, the space is much larger, and the ceilings are much higher.

This is much coveted (in the city) outdoor space.  It will be great to have a place to do a little furniture painting once the weather warms up some.

In all honesty, I'm a little overwhelmed by everything that has happened in the last month, and that's just personally.   I don't love this place like I did the other...but, I think I can make it into someplace I enjoy.

On another note, I wanted to send a big thank you to...both Casey at Loft and Cottage and Careen at Inspire My House Pretty,  who were kind enough to bestow upon me the honor, of the Stylish Blogger Award.  I have to say, it makes a girl feel good.

So, that's what is happening over here. It's going to be a very busy next couple of weeks, as we will be packing, repainting the old apartment (back to white,) and moving in the new place by January 29th.  I'm trying to gear up to get ready for it, and still stay sane.  Hopefully, it will all go smoothly, and painlessly.  One can only hope.

Oh! I think it looks wonderful! And so you! I've always dreamed of having a spiral staircase, so for now I'll have to live vicariously through you. Congrats on the new place!

That's great that you found a place! And you never know, there could have been something wrong with the other place that you wouldn't have realized until you moved in. Things tend to happen for a reason...

Hope your move goes well!!

Well you are moving on my birthday, so that alone will bring you tons of luck! However, I love the space! I think it will totally rock once it is given the "Parlour" treatment :)

Nichole I've learned that everything works out for the best for us even though sometime we may not feel it at the time. Who knows you may still one day live at the other place that you showed us but for now this is the place that you all are supposed to live in at this time. We know that you can and will work your magic on your new place. I have a feeling that once you are there fixing it up to your style and taste that you will love and appreciate your space and glad that this is the one that you got. Please do enjoy your new place and most of all love and have fun in it.
