Plates

 Found here

Look closely over on the wall in the above pic...are those framed....plates?  In a bedroom?  Your eyes do not deceive.  Then to make matters worse...look below...

From here

...NOW they're in a bathroom.  What?

Isn't it cool?  Plates are not just relegated to the kitchen or dining room anymore.  They are taking over the entire house.  At least the walls anyway.  I loved how Sarah Richardson actually framed the plates in the first pic.  It really gave them a presence that they wouldn't have had alone.  I would love to find some mix-matched antique plates, and have an entire bathroom wall covered in them.  SO pretty.  Here are some other options for your plate wall outside of the typical Kitchen and Dining spaces.  Which ones strikes your fancy?

Such beautiful plates!!! I love the ones with chairs.
And who would have thought they can be displayed in bathrooms, too :)

I have a whole file of saved plates pictures- they seem to be poopping up everywhere! I love a mix of vintage flowery ones with more modern brightly coloured graphic plates- the anthro ones and the little french ladies are fabulous!!

LoL - I have plates on the wall next to my front door. And even funnier is that I am going to West Elm & Anthropologie today to get more plates for an art project I was thinking about on our staircase....

And on a side note, I have crossed my fingers and said an extra prayer regarding the HGTV stuff. :)

I LOVE this and I have a set of awesome vintage plates I'd love to hang. But how on earth do you hang them without the funky brass/spring bracket doodads? Tips?

Well, Bella, the way I know to do it, they will not be actually usable plates anymore. Not sure if you want to go that route but...there are little "hangers" for frames typically that you can buy at craft stores or even Home Depot (I think)and you just get some epoxy and glue them on. That simple. No need for those awful plate holders...but, it is permanent. Hope that helps a little.
