A Little Kartell Never Hurt Anyone

Okay so, I might be in agreement with you if you said that I have a wee obsession with acrylic/lucite furniture of any sort.  I don't completely understand WHY they are so appealing to me.  They just seem so sexy. I think because they have a "glass slipper" type of quality that, let's face it, every girl can relate to after watching Cinderella a million times as a child.   It's like something a Fairy Godmother might whip up.

This is the Panier table by Kartell, and it is the latest piece of "glass slipper" furniture to catch my eye.  I can see it stacked, or two might make a fabulous alternative to the typical coffee table.  They say it can be used as storage...but, I love the lines and I wouldn't want to muddy that up with a gaggle of magazines.  Just me though.  What do you think?  Does clear furniture appeal to you as much as it does to me?  Obviously, you wouldn't want an entire house full of it, but, wow...what a beautiful statement it makes when used as "punctuation" in a room, an exclamation point if you will.  Thoughts?

Not only are the tables amazing below...but, look at the massive artwork.  Lovey, love, love!

i think you've hit the nail on the head about the glass slipper! Never thought of that but so true...I bought a ghost chair for my dressing table and my husband did not get my excitement at all!

Love all things acrylic and it's probably because of exactly what you said- a little glass slipper complex:) The Panier table is so pretty- I have a ghost chair and 6 acrylic dining chairs so likely can't have more- and my husband is already done with what he calles 'plastic furniture':(
