A Bathroom I Can Claim

Finally...a bathroom I'm not embarrassed to claim. I must apologize for the pics ahead of time.  The bathroom is TINY, and there is no natural light in there.  Hopefully you can make everything out satisfactorily anyway, even if it is a bit grainy!

If you remember I started out bland and boring...then I had an idea to do this.  I couldn't decide if I liked it or not.  So, I lived with it for a while.  My hubby then let me know that he thought it looked like I covered the bathroom walls with a dead Dalmatian (how kind of him,) so that was pretty much the nail in the coffin, so to speak.  Enter a lovely, dark velvet grey.

Above is bit of artwork I did to make the room a little more interesting, and not quite so bathroomy.  I hate run of the mill, predictable rooms.  Gotta keep people on their toes!

The wire heart and wings sculpture is by Bird From a Wire.  I had it custom made and I LOVE it!!!  It is so unique, and beautifully done.   Anytime you can incorporate artwork in a room DO...it makes it special and will completely set that room apart from any other! Below is a closer look.

The little towel holder below, is from Urban Outfitters and it is adorable.  You can get it here.  I'm also kinda tossing around the idea of getting this....although finding where it would go might be a problem.

So there you have it!  My newly redone, tiny bathroom.  Oh, if it were mine to gut!  But, it's not...so...this is enough to keep me happy.  Next room?  Bedroom...and of course, finishing up the living/dining room.  I'm SO ready to be done with it.  The good news is...that our house in Missouri is under contract and scheduled to close on August 6 (fingers crossed.)  So, not having 2 mortgages will help immensly in the fundage department.  Things will be able to move a little more quickly, which makes me a happy girl.  Patience never has been one of my virtues.

Love love LOVE this bathroom redo! And the dalmation thing kind of cracked me up. I would never have thought of it but it is SO something my husband would say as well. Then, once they do, you'll never quite be able to look at whatever it was without thinking of their comment. :)

Thanks for sharing my sculpture on your blog. I'm very glad you like it. You really did find a perfect space for it! :)

The shower curtain is from Urban Outfitters... it's a cheaper version of the Anthropologie one!
