So, last night I went a little crazy. I had been conflicted about what to do with the large wall in the kitchen. Then on a whim, I decided to try out this projector that I had bought on sale. Now I know why it was on sale. It only magnified the picture to like, a 3 foot by 3 foot square. Not going to help. I was frustrated, and stumped for about ten minutes. I was feeling motivated, wanted to bang it out, and thought... "You know what, I can draw well, I can paint well, why should this be any different, it's just a little bigger. I don't need no stinking stencil. I can freehand this sucker!" So I did.
The picture below is actually the finished product. I had to take it on my iPhone, due to one of my kitties deciding my camera needed a bath in his water bowl. But, it gives you the just. Although, I wish you could experience it in all it's glory. I'm not being very humble am I? I probably need to eat a little humble pie. Sorry, I'm just sooooo happy with how it turned out. The silver is wonderful, couldn't be better! Yay! Hey, just ask me about math....not so great at math...there is my humility. Anyhoo...So that is what happened last night and I'm still pooped.
Have you ever just chucked the plan in a moment of artistic passion, and decided to wing it? Do tell!!! I love to hear of others inspirational moments!
P.S.- Can anyone suggest a good camera that is not out of this world expensive. Thanks all for sticking with me!

Oh WOW! That look's incredible! There's no way I'd ever try to freehand something like that - good for you! :)

p.s......going to do a blog post on this-hope you don't mind. it's just too amazing not to brag about!!
No need to be humble about such a beautiful thing! SO impressed! Amazing, amazing, amazing!
Simply beautiful! I have the Canon SD1100 and I have been happy with it. That said, it tends to function as a backup/messing around camera for me since I have a Canon Rebel XSI (my baby). I have a friend who uses the G10 as his "point and shoot" and has a nice Nikon. He has told me he is happy with the G10. Depending on what kind of pictures you are looking to take http://photography-cafe.com/ might have some input for you.
I really love what you are doing to your new place. I saw this the other day and had to come back and comment. I've been thinking about this beautiful mural all weekend. Great job! I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Wow, everyone...thanks so much for all the love! I truly appreciate the fact that you are even reading! "Southerner" I will be looking into those cameras...thanks for the suggestions!

I know I'm late on this one, but I just found your site. Just spent hours searching to find out HOW you did this beautiful wall and I'm so frustrated that it's something I can't copy. Beautiful.
